Titled Admiral's Barge for the Brazilian Navy. One set of Plans A-B. Plan A is the outboard profile and cabin arrangement. Based on analysis of the drawing, the date of the drawing, and information associated with Contract #362, it is possible that this proposal is related to this contract. Per Trumpy, written by Robert Tolf, contract #362 was built for the US Navy; the design agents were Sparkman and Stevens. One of the two boats built under Contract #362 may have been sent to the Brazilian Navy under the Military Aid Program (MAP). The other boat, also an Admiral's Barge, may have been sent to Cuba (1995.0011.0141.35). It is not unusual for the Navy to serve as an intermediary to send vessels to a foreign country. While Contract #362 called for two skiffs, it is not unusal to identify the vessel by an alternate type under the MAP program for the sake of political expediency/optics. Plan B is a copy of Plan A.
